In-depth knowledge and strong operating experience in at least one of the following areas: Application load balancing or Network/Application Security
Security technologies (Firewall, access control, intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, administrative access control)
Knowledge of networking stack L2 (vlan, bridge, EtherChannel), L3 Routing Protocols, IPv4 and IPv6, L3 Forwarding and NAT
Knowledge of IP routing protocols and packet capture/analysis.
Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience in L4-7 application delivery (SSL/TLS, TCP/UDP/HTTP, real-time traffic), Load balancers, Caching and Content Delivery, Virtual Network Overlays and Network/Infrastructure
Expert level knowledge on different network Test Tools
Knowledge of virtualization technologies and public/private cloud environments
Knowledge of Hypervisor technologies including KVM, VMware and Hyper-V
Prior experience in setting up openstack or kubernetes based solutions
Knowledge of NFV architectures and hands-on experience in Openstack orchestration
Knowledge of installing and configuring hardware and software in test environment.
Ability to quickly understand solution design.
Experience with building solution proof-of-concept setups in lab from scratch.
Expertise in analyzing and debuging solution bringup issues.
Experience in configuration and troubleshooting of complex network and infrastructure issues is desirable.
Experience with PoC demos and ability to articulate solution functionality.
Ability to lead a team of junior engineers, mentor them, communicate solution bringup strategy, test process, present test results to management and peer teams.
Strong experience in UNIX/Linux environments.
Strong in at least one scripting language Python, Perl, etc
Scripting experience with Python and/or Tcl and Test Automation.
Apply specialized expertise in understanding issues, research and provide solutions
Regular participation within the SE community (answer questions, follow up on comments, etc)
Work closely with pre-sales engineers and solution architects.
Work with engineering and support teams on improving product quality, and recreation of customer reported issues
Serves as liaison to Product Management, Product Development, Business Development and internal technology groups
Help with requests/questions from Regional Sales teams.
Ability to learn new technology and concepts quickly.
Ability to work independently and also within a team, as needed.
Capable of tackling and explaining technical issues without the need for supervision or assistance
4-5 years of field technical sales experience as a Systems Engineer, Solutions Architect or equivalent
